About The Event

The formal 1-1 sessions will take place each week and it is recommended you have 6-8 sessions in order to learn the program. Before we start I will do a detailed assessment so we can talk about what you would like to get out of the mindfulness sessions. I will explain in more detail what it will involve and you will be able to ask me any questions. You can then decide if you would like to commit to the course and submit the relevant form. As with the group sessions I will be teaching you all about mindfulness and introducing you to different meditations and gentle mindful movement together with active discussion. I will give you your own journal to use to build up your home practice and any observations you have in between each session. I will also provide you with audio recordings of meditations we use, that you can use at home.

Both courses have different benefits, the 1-2-1 is for people who would like to work on specific items in more detail and feel that working in this way would really benefit them. The formal group sessions give you the same experience of mindfulness but in the company of other people who also would like to learn about mindfulness.  After 8 weeks you should feel you have the tools to carry it on yourself and can always attend the drop-in class on Monday for Mindful Mondays.
